The mission of United Cerebral Palsy of Orange County (UCP-OC) is to help children with disabilities reach their full potential, improve the quality of life for their families and foster an attitude of acceptance and inclusion. Founded in 1953, UCP-OC was originally established to assist people of all ages affected by cerebral palsy. Over our 60+ years of service, however, we have observed great demand for services for children with disabilities. In response, we have streamlined our focus to children while broadening the range of disabilities served and programs offered.
Today, UCP-OC provides specialized care for more than 5,639 children and families each year. Seeking to help all achieve a “Life Without Limits,” we are the only organization in Orange County delivering comprehensive support for children with disabilities and their families. As such, our services are critical to closing developmental gaps and empowering families to care for their child’s special needs.
UCP-OC is delighted to collaborate with Sailing Fascination to offer free, private and adaptive sailing lessons as part of our Recreation Center! Parent, guardian, caregiver, or respite worker are encouraged to accompany as valued crew members, and captains with disabilities must be at least 14 years old. Are you ready to set sail with us?
